Prep time: 15 minutes
Setting time: 30 minutes +
Ingredients:
- 3 cups mini pretzel twists: (You can use gluten-free if needed)
- 2 cups white chocolate chips: (High-quality brands melt better)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil: (Refined is best for no coconut flavor)
- 1-1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
Optional Dark Chocolate Drizzle:
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Equipment:
- 2 Large microwave-safe bowls
- 2 Baking sheets
- Parchment paper or silicone baking mats
- Spoons or small spatulas for stirring
Instructions:
Prep your space:
- Line your baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
Melt the white chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and coconut oil.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Spice it up! Add the pumpkin pie spice to the melted chocolate and stir until well combined.
Dip those pretzels!
- Working with a few pretzels at a time, dip them into the melted chocolate mixture, ensuring they’re fully coated.
- Gently tap or scrape the excess chocolate off the pretzel against the side of the bowl.
- Place the coated pretzels on the prepared baking sheets.
Chilling time:
- Refrigerate the baking sheets for at least 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
Optional: Dark chocolate drizzle:
- Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl using the same method as for the white chocolate.
- Stir in the pumpkin pie spice.
- Drizzle the melted dark chocolate over the chilled white chocolate-covered pretzels.
Chill again:
- Refrigerate for an additional 15 minutes to set the drizzle.
- Enjoy! Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
Storage:
- Store your Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Covered Pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. If your kitchen is warm, store them in the refrigerator.
Tips:
- Customize it: Swap the white chocolate for milk or dark chocolate, or try using other flavored candy melts.
- Sprinkles! Add festive sprinkles to the pretzels before the chocolate sets for an extra touch.
- No microwave? Melt the chocolate and coconut oil using a double boiler method on the stovetop.
