Pizza Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

For the salad:

  • 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni, sliced or chopped
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, cubed or shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Croutons (optional)

For the dressing:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Prepare the veggies: Wash and chop the lettuce. Slice the tomatoes, red onion, green bell pepper, and pepperoni. Drain and slice the black olives.
  • Make the dressing: In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Assemble the salad: In a large salad bowl, combine the lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, green bell pepper, pepperoni, black olives, mozzarella cheese, and croutons (if using).
  • Dress and toss: Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat evenly.
  • Season and serve: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, add a little extra black pepper if desired, and serve immediately.
