Yields: 1-2 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Blend Time: 1-2 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup orange juice: Use freshly squeezed for the best flavor or your favorite brand.
- 1 large navel orange: Peeled and segmented.
- 1/2 cup frozen raspberries: Adds sweetness and tartness.
- 1/2 cup frozen peaches: For extra sweetness and creaminess.
- 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk: Almond milk, oat milk, or your preference.
- 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt (optional): Greek yogurt will make it thicker and more protein-rich.
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional): For added sweetness, adjust to your liking.
Instructions
1. Prep your fruit: If you’re using a fresh banana, peel and slice it.
2. Combine ingredients: Add all ingredients (orange juice, orange segments, raspberries, peaches, milk, yogurt if using, and sweetener if using) to a high-powered blender.
3. Blend until smooth: Blend on high speed until everything is combined and the smoothie is creamy and has no chunks of fruit remaining.
4. Adjust consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk. If it’s too thin, add a few ice cubes.
5. Serve and enjoy: Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately!
Tips
Make it a protein shake: Add a scoop of your favorite vanilla or fruit-flavored protein powder for an extra boost.
Get creative: Experiment with other frozen fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or mango.
Spinach boost: Add a handful of fresh spinach for an extra dose of nutrients.
