Ingredients

Instructions
- Prep: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly coat with cooking spray.
- Sauté the onions: Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and slightly caramelized, around 5 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Make the meatloaf mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), beaten egg, panko breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cooled onions, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined (do not overmix).
- Form the loaves: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into mini loaves. Place the loaves on the prepared baking sheet.
- Top with BBQ sauce: Spread the remaining 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce evenly over the top of each meatloaf.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatloaves are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
