Ingredients
- Watermelon: 2 cups cubed, seedless
- Cucumber: 1/2 medium cucumber, peeled and sliced
- Sugar: 1/4 cup
- Water: 1/4 cup
- Vodka: 3 ounces
- Lime juice: Juice of 1 lime (approx. 2 tbsp)
- Ice
- Garnish (optional): Cucumber slices, watermelon wedges

Instructions
1. Make the Cucumber Simple Syrup
- Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves (about 10 seconds).
- Remove from heat and add cucumber slices.
- Let steep until the syrup cools to room temperature.
- Strain into a jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to a month!).
2. Prepare the Watermelon Juice
- Blend the cubed watermelon until liquified.
- Strain through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any seeds or pulp (optional, but recommended for a smooth martini).
3. Assemble the Martinis
- Add 1 cup of the watermelon juice to your martini shaker.
- Add 1.5-2 ounces of cucumber simple syrup (adjust to your sweetness preference).
- Add vodka and lime juice.
- Fill the shaker 3/4 full with ice.
- Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is frosty.
4. Serve
- Strain the mixture into chilled martini glasses.
- Garnish with cucumber slices or watermelon wedges if desired.
