- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the burgers
- 4 hamburger buns (brioche buns are a great choice)
- Romaine lettuce leaves
- Caesar dressing (additional)
- Sliced tomatoes (optional)
- Sliced red onions (optional)
- Croutons (optional)
Instructions
1. Make the patties
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, Caesar dressing, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined. Do not overmix.
2. Form the patties
- Divide the chicken mixture into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty about ½ inch thick.
3. Cook the patties
- Grilling: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Pan-frying: Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat with a bit of olive oil. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
4. Assemble the burgers
- Lightly toast the hamburger buns.
- Place a cooked chicken patty on the bottom bun.
- Top with romaine lettuce, tomato slices (if using), red onions (if using), a generous drizzle of Caesar dressing, and some croutons (if using).
- Place the top bun on and enjoy!
Tips
For extra richness: Add some shredded Parmesan cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking.
Don’t overmix the chicken: Overmixing can make the burgers tough. Gently combine the ingredients until just incorporated.
Check for doneness: Always use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the chicken patties reaches 165°F for food safety.
Get creative: Experiment with toppings like avocado slices, sautéed mushrooms, or even a fried egg.
