Yields: 4-6 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes + freezing time
Blender Time: 2-3 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 (750ml) bottle of dry Rosé wine (Choose a color intensity you like)
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup vodka (Adjust for desired strength)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries (quartered)
- 2-4 tablespoons sugar (or your preferred sweetener, to taste)
- 1-2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Equipment:
- High-powered blender
- Large freezer-safe container or pitcher
- Wine glasses
Instructions
The Night Before:
- Freeze the Rosé: Pour the entire bottle of Rosé into a freezer-safe container. Freeze overnight. This is essential for the perfect slushy texture.
Frosé Making Day:
- Combine ingredients: Add the frozen Rosé chunks, strawberries, vodka, sugar, and lemon juice to your high-powered blender.
- Blend: Blend everything until completely smooth and slushy. If the mixture is too thin, add a few ice cubes. If it’s too thick, add a splash of unfrozen Rosé.
- Taste and adjust: Give your Frosé a taste! Add more sugar or lemon juice depending on your preference.
- Serve immediately: Pour the Frosé into wine glasses and enjoy!
Garnishes (Optional):
- Fresh strawberry slices
- Sprig of mint
- Lemon wedges
Tips:
- Sweetness: Adjust the sugar to create your desired level of sweetness. You can substitute with honey or agave nectar.
- Flavor variations: Experiment with other frozen fruits like raspberries, peaches, or watermelon for different flavor profiles.
- Get creative: Add a splash of elderflower liqueur, flavored vodka, or even a touch of Aperol for a twist.
Remember to drink responsibly!
